We have all seen the American flick "Mean Girls" and probably even had a good laugh about it, but I strongly believe that this movie is more than just a fictional story written by Tina Fey, it is a movie that really portrays the society of the American teen. Let's face it, we all know that in our American teen society we have cliques. I know so from experience. Growing up in the United States made me realize that high school and junior high has a lot more to do than with books. It has to do with the sports you do, the people you hang out with and so on. In American society we have cliques and everyone, whether we like it or not, is part of one. Whether you're a jock, a band geek, a cheerleader, an all AP student or just a simple burn out. There's a quote in the movie that caught my attention, "Halloween is the only tie a year when a girl can dress as a total slut and no other girls can say anything about it." I believe this quote has a lot of reason behind it. It's this of the year that many girls rock out their police officer, nurse, or French maid outfit to be sexy, while other countries actually dress up in some scary costume rather than a sexually provocative one. These are just a few reason why I think the film's plot is not out of the norm for the American teen. So fetch!
Abercrombie & Fitch guys were once again flown around the world, this time to the Asian city of Singapore. The famous wear company is on its dawn of opening the next flagship store there. 101 shirtless model came out today to promote the grand opening. A&F has cause quite some controversy already after displaying a huge ad of a man with a six pack and his jeans very low. The ad was taken down due to this scandal. The famous vintage all American brand opens on December 15, 2011 at 10am. Are you in? ;)
Abercrombie & Fitch opened its doors once again in Europe this November 3rd in Madrid, Spain. The store is a great success. A week prior to the opening, 101 male models stood shirtless outside the store to promote its opening. This created such a fuss that it was even shown on the news due to traffic and people rushing to see them. Seems like Spaniards are really loving the moose, are you in?? ;)
